About Amy
M.S. Ed, Certified Parent Coach, & Support Expert
Hi, I’m Amy!
I'm a passionate educator, parent coach, and proud mom of two lively, big-hearted daughters. For over 13 years, I taught at both the elementary and collegiate levels, helping children and families grow with confidence, resilience, and joy.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education, along with Bachelor's Degrees and certifications in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, and Speech and Language Therapy. Throughout my career, I’ve worked closely with young children of all abilities, specializing in evidence-based early interventions, emotional development, and play-based learning strategies.
But beyond the credentials, here’s what truly matters:
I believe children are whole humans — not "less than" adults — and they deserve to be raised with compassion, respect, and heart-centered guidance. Parenting a sensitive, spirited, or neurodiverse child can feel overwhelming at times, and I’m here to walk alongside you with practical tools, emotional coaching, and a whole lot of encouragement.
At Colorful Minds Parent Coaching, I help parents of big-feeling, sensitive, and uniquely wired kids (ages 2–10) build deeper connection, foster emotional resilience, and create a home filled with cooperation, confidence, and joy.
I’m committed to making parenting feel less lonely, less overwhelming — and a lot more empowering.
When I'm not parent coaching, you'll find me coaching and cheering on my daughters at soccer games, volunteering in my community, or practicing yoga (my favorite mindfulness tool!).
I'm passionate about helping families thrive — because when parents feel supported, children flourish.
I'm so glad you're here.
You’re not alone — and you’re exactly the parent your child needs.
